New Polylevel Technology Makes Repairing Concrete, Foundations Easier, Cheaper
You may not think about concrete, but it plays a big part in your life.
Concrete that is cracked, uneven or broken won’t fix itself, but the underlying causes of such damage will continue to wreak havoc on your home.
In addition to affecting the quality of your home, cracked and damaged concrete also poses a health and investment risk. In the past, the solution was to jackhammer up all the concrete and repour—something that cost both time and money.
Today, a new option exists. Vesta Foundation Solutions is an experienced foundation repair contractor serving homeowners in Oklahoma that specializes in concrete leveling, basement waterproofing and crawl space encapsulation. A family-owned and -operated company, Vesta is also the only company in the state offering new “Polylevel” technology.
“The PolyLevel system is a very simple process, and it is 40–80% cheaper than complete replacement,” says Ashley Armandariz, marketing director for Vesta. “Many times when people are noticing problems in their driveway or sidewalk, they think the only answer would be to tear it out and completely replace it. Not that many people know they can repair it and lift it. PolyLevel is very noninvasive and cost-effective.”
As soil underneath a concrete slab shrinks, settles or washes away, this leaves empty space, or voids, beneath the slab. With the soil no longer supporting the slab, the concrete will sink, creating an uneven surface.
PolyLevel uses a high-density polyurethane foam to fill voids and stabilize and lift sinking concrete slabs. The expanding properties of the two-part urethane formula allows for accurate leveling of the slab. The result is a waterproof repair that’s much more permanent than mud-jacking and other common concrete repair methods.
“PolyLevel is also eco-friendly; nothing seeps into the ground that causes pollution,” says Vesta owner Sydney Blake. “And it sets up quickly, so you can walk on it after 15 minutes. We can do an entire house, and we do the interior of homes a lot. NexusPro is a type of caulking that repairs the cracks, and it goes hand-in-hand sometimes with the PolyLevel.”
In fact, Vesta Foundation Solutions uses a three-part repair process. After PolyLevel lifts and levels the concrete, NexusPro seals the joints around it to prevent water from seeping through. Vesta then seals the top of the concrete to prevent pitting and chipping to the concrete.
“Our inspectors will go out to your home at no cost and go over everything that could be happening,” Sydney says. “They’ll do a full inspection or just inspections of the areas that you want done. It’s a one-and-done process. With a lot of the sealant companies, their work only lasts for a few years. With our system, you never have to seal it again.”
Vesta is part of the Supportworks family, which designs and manufactures products used in the home repair industry.
