Coffee Jerks Shares the Recipe for a Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie
A smoothie made with some milk or a milk alternative like almond milk and perhaps even a little protein powder can be a seriously easy and nutritious way to start your day or satisfy a craving.
When made right, smoothies provide fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and water—things that a doughnut or even a whole-grain piece of toast can’t give you.
At Coffee Jerks, located at 2820 NW 122nd St., smoothies are served alongside lattes and cappuccinos. By far, the most popular smoothie sold there is the Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie, which gives the added bonus of extra protein through the tasty peanut butter. Made with almond milk, natural peanut butter, whey protein powder and ice, this snack fills you up without the added calories of whole milk, bananas, sugars or filler like ice cream.
Coffee Jerks is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
